Affiliate Reality Show Started Today

The Top Affiliate Challenge is an affiliate marketing reality show that started today.

It looks alot less produced then that last affiliate marketing reality show however I kinda like the low budget look. However what is really bad is their low budget server.

Hopefully they increase the speed of the videos on their site so it doesn't take 3 hours to buffer a 30 minute show or start hosting their videos with youtube or somewhere better.

Top Affiliate Challenge is the web's first real-time affiliate marketing reality program. Over a three week period 12 internet marketers will be divided into three teams. Each team will be led by an established and successful affiliate marketing guru. Individuals will compete personally as well as part of their team to maintain their place on the show.

The team I'm rooting for to win the show is the XY7 team. There are two bloggers who I like on the team and occasionally stop by 45n5

1. Ian Fernando

2. Collin James De Ruyck

And the leader of the XY7 team, John Chow, is the only one of the gurus I'd actually met in person, and who was a great guy, so that sealed the deal and I want XY7 as my team to root for. Check it out Top Affiliate Challenge.

I've also met Ian Fernando:

Agree about the server issues

Why not to use YouTube?!!! I spent 15 minutes waiting for the video... actually still waiting in another window.

I will be pulling for Ian as

I will be pulling for Ian as well.

uhhhh

The video setup is makes it a headache to load and view.  You'd think they would have invested more time/money into making it perform a little better.  Afterall, it is the whole point of the project.
I think that the video wasn't really edited that great.  I like to compare it to Joel Comm's NIM last year, and it doesn't even really.  I was hoping the first video would do a little more of what Joel did in intriguing the viewer, but Top Aff just seems a little boring.
The way they setup the teams is going to just create a landslide victory for one of the teams.  And also, I don't see how the contestants can just use pre-existing campaigns to generate revenue.  That Jontahan van clute guy sounds like he is doing just that and will direct one of his great offers and pour the money into his team.
But in the end I think this whole project will help everybody out a lot.  We're probably going to be learning a lot about the "gurus" in the coming episodes and if they really are the gurus they tell us they are.

Thats for your support Mark, that means a lot. They are working on trying to get better servers for the video's

The Show Is Horrible

It has no real concept that would be of interest to anyone and it is flawed in so many other ways as well. In fact, a 12 year old with a flip video camera could have produced a better video and been able to afford a better server with their allowance money than these clowns. It's a complete joke and waste of time.

LOL

could they put the sponsers in more of the film? lol, the proflowers smothered confessional is too funny. And why do I care about a ring jeweler in nebraska?
I'm enjoying the show though, maybe for the train wreck vibe, or the high school graduation camera shots ;) It's fun though.
and why has episode two been on google video for over 10 hours but the homepage is still showing the previous day's episode and still not updated? Could they care less?
