Making Money From Things You LikeYou always hear the usual advice when asking what type of blog or online making money adventure to begin. It goes like this "pick a topic you love, or are interested in, or you hobby, or something you enjoy." Then most of us try that and we dont' make any money. Thats usually because we also follow the other usual advice of using affiliate links or adsense. In my experience if you have a topic that doesn't have bunches of traffic or high ticket items you might have a hard time making money with that topic. There are two things I see people doing to make these sites work for them: 1. They create their own products. From ebooks to dvds to the product the topic is about. They always sell their own stuff and not someone elses. 2. They ask permission to contact the visitors again. They are always trying hard to get people's email address so they can contact them again. If I were starting an online endeavor that I wanted to be profitable and wanted it to be about something i really enjoyed, I would certainly be getting every visitors email address that i could and also only promoting my own products. NicheLike anything else, one has to look for niche opportunities-niche marketing before the anybody knows about it.
Sad But TrueDefinitely like this post, it's so true that most people are trying to enter into niches that will never be profitable. I think that adding a mailing list by asking commentators or forming some kind of digital product or ebook is definitely a step in the right direction.
